Innovative New TV Technologies You Need to Know About

The CES (Consumers Electronic Showcase) is the annual event where the best-of-the-best and future advancements in technology make their debut. It is the world’s largest consumer electronics trade show and each year we wait in anticipation to learn about the new ways that technology will integrate and enrich our lives. This year, TV’s were the trending topic and we’re not surprised. Read below why this year was a game-changer for TV technology and what TV we can’t wait to roll out in the showroom.

LG Signature Rollable OLED TV R

LG stood out at this year’s CES with the launch of the world’s first rollable OLED TV. Yep, that’s right, a rollable TV. The LG Signature Rollable OLED TV has elevated the luxury TV viewing experience. When you want to watch the perfect picture of the 65-inch 4K OLED TV, simply push a button or use voice commands and the screen slowly rises from a minimal, sleek box. The TV has three viewing options; line view, full view and zero view. In Line View, which opens the screen just enough to display a small menu, there are six different modes that enable the TV to minimally display music, clock, weather, a home dashboard and more without the distraction of a full screen.

As a fully integrated smart TV, it has everything you’ve come to expect from your TV and much more. This elegant, multipurpose workhorse also doubles as a wireless surround sound system, allowing you to play music from the enclosed speakers while the TV is fully closed. The compact base also allows the flexibility to place the TV wherever you want, making entertaining even more convenient.

‘The Wall’ by Samsung

Size was another wow-factor with this years lineup of new TV’s. Samsung revealed “The Wall”, which is their whopping 219-inch module style microLED TV. Unlike OLED, microLED can deliver true black values as well as brightness and color that rivals the OLED TV’s. Customization is another key feature that makes this TV experience so special. Modular panels allow you to create a viewing experience that works best for your space and your needs. The combination of the MicroLED technology, the AI-Upscaling, peak brightness of 2,000 nits, and the ability to produce life-like images to scale makes ‘The Wall’ a fully immersive digital experience like no other.

Samsung 98 Inch 8K QLED TV

QLED, 8K technology, and massive size is another heavy-hitting combination brought to us by Samsung with their Samsung 98-in 8k QLED TV. 8K resolution has 16x more pixels than Full HD, which delivers crisp detail even in super big screen sizes. Using its integrated A.I upscaling system you can watch any content in great looking 8K.

Displays as large as 219 or 98 inches may not fit every space which is why we’re equally as excited about the (still very large) smaller options to debut this year. Some examples include a 75-inch variety to Samsung’s ‘The Wall’ and a 65 inch and 75-inch option for Samsung’s 8K QLED TV’s.
