Genji Steakhouse

Award Winning Restaurant Project

Japanese Steakhouse

A Restaurant with Many Personalities

A fusion of traditional Japanese sushi bar and modern teppanyaki, Genji is a tech marvel in the restaurant industry with it’s use of both lighting control systems and shades. Through the use of the installed systems Genji is able to change it’s personality with it’s preset moods – shifting from private business lunches, all the way to evening hotspot.

One Restaurant, Many Personalities

Genji is able to transform through the combination of custom printed shades, lighting control, and DMX control for LED effects. This allows for a unique experience at the restaurant each time a guest comes back. Lutron scenes allow for the creation of presets for daily use and special events. The use of technology at Genji elevates every meal into a memorable dining experience for all of your senses.

Take a Seat at the Bar

Sitting down at the bar means pulling up a seat to first-class entertainment. Three ceiling hung TVs are suspended over top a baby grand piano, so you can watch tonights game while listening to an amazing live performance. Distributed audio and video systems controlled by AMX eliminate the usual electronic clutter at the bar. The custom iPad interface makes it easy to set the mood. With a single touch, staff can set different lighting options, change the TV channels, or activate the live mics for tonight’s performance without searching endlessly
for the correct remotes.

Bigger than Life Visuals

A coordinated 3×5 video wall is the focal point of the main dining room. Easily controlled through a visually intuitive user interface, the video wall can display full sized graphics to set the mood for the evening, or be divided to display multiple channels simultaneously to entertain all of the restaurant guests.

A Private Dining Room – With a Single Touch

Genji is a restaurant with many personalities and audio/video is just one piece that helps make those personalities come to life. Through the innovative use of custom, silk-screen printed shades (inspired by shoji screens), Genji is able to change the physical space of the dining room to fit every guest’s needs.

Intuitive Control

Custom designed control panels make using the technology at Genji easy. Visual interfaces make the in-depth control options as simple to use as a touching a button. The new standard in intuitive control.

A New Dimension in Space Control

Genji is the best place to grab a drink, go for sushi, or order up some hibachi; yet on the inside it’s more than that – it’s a shape shifting piece of art that harnesses the latest in control technology to create interesting spaces and engaging environments.
